Climate of Goa

Goa is located in the tropical zone. The climate of Goa is moderate throughout the year except during the monsoon season from July to September when there is heavy rainfall. One can hardly feel any change of season. The variation of temperature is from 210C in winter to 350C in summer.

Goa’s climate is characterized by its annual rainfall from June to September. The remaining eight months are almost dry. During the two months preceding the onset of the monsoon the humidity increases drastically, and the normally clear skies become hazy and cloudy. The state receives an annual average rainfall of 250cm to 300cm, although in the Western Ghats the downpour is considerably high than on the coast.
