Policy of Goa

Goa is a small but prosperous state. The economy of Goa mainly depends on mining, agriculture and tourism industry. Electronic, IT industries and fishing are other important sources that add to Goa’s economy. Also a small portion of the population of the state depends on forests which provide products like bamboo canes, Maratha barks, chillar barks, bhirand etc. The per capita income of Goa is Rs.53, 092 according to a survey conducted in 2002-03.
